This is one of those erotic romance books where the blurb tells you just enough to get you interested, but you have no idea how intense and creative the sex is until you start reading! It is not your mother's erotic romance, that's for sure. The main character, Veronique or Veronica I guess, seems far too young to be exploring all this sexuality but she's a fast learner and the story itself is fun and doesn't take itself too seriously, and who doesn't love the french countryside in the 1930's with a bunch of horny gypsies running around? I didn't have many expectations but I liked the idea of two brothers fighting over a girl and the dynamics looked interesting but I finished it fast because the plot flows well, the sex scenes are numerous and they gave me some good ideas to try out with my own lover, and the ending left me wanting to find out if there is a Gypsy King part two in the works. I hope so!Fun and interesting characters who can't get enough of life and everything that entails, sweet on the romance and very hot sex - a great read.

A friend from my book club whispered that I should read this book, as I've been known to enjoy a few of these guilty pleasures in the past. The story moves fast, it's got conflict and romance and I thought it was a good read with a wonderful mixture of romance and sex scenes that are sometimes over the top but in general extremely entertaining. It's set in France in the 1930s and the girl is careless and young but I like her independence and I found myself admiring her grit, but she's way more adventurous than most! The scenes are very explicit, raunchy, but I liked them and I'm looking for the follow up book. Is there a sequel?
